The SMART4ENV project will organizing the STAKEHOLDERS ‘INNOVATION WEEK on the 5th and 6th of October 2023 at TUBITAK Gebze Campus,SMART4ENV aims to improve TUBITAK Marmara Research Center (TUBITAK MAM) research and innovation capacities, to strengthen its scientific reputation, attractiveness and networking channels while stimulating scientific excellence in the field of Smart Environmental Solutions (SES) for climate change adaptation and mitigation of key applications for the Turkish economy within water/wastewater, agriculture, air quality and marine research avenues. At the same time, the project aims to develop capacity building of permanent scientists, early-stage researchers training; enlarge cooperation between academia, industry, and stakeholders in Türkiye with a genera sustainable framework for research, international networking, mobility, and integration in the European Research Area.
In these contents, four different workshops will be organized on thematic participative conferences where round tables are held to highlight and share experience. This first workshop aims at providing research training in science, Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI), Intellectual Property Right (IPR), open access, entrepreneurship, and project formulation. The workshop is complemented by an open day and a science café.
Outcomes of the Innovation Week:
After completion of the workshop, the participants are expected to:
· Articulate the current and future challenges of climate change, its risks on water and food and its adaptation measures
· Acquire good knowledge on TÜBİTAK MAM climate change, sustainability and food security infrastructures.
· Identify both national and EU approaches on open science, IPR and RRI.
· Increase knowledge on entrepreneurship and start-ups for young researchers.
· Understand the practices of grant writing and identify available supports from TÜBİTAK for grant writing and project coordination
Who can participate?
It is open to TUBITAK MAM Researchers, TUBITAK MAM Administrative staff, MS and PhD students. The participation of the workshop is limited to a certain number.
