Exciting Launch: SMART4ENV’s First Moodle Course on Learn Platform

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the SMART4ENV Project’s first Moodle Course on the Learn Platform, set to roll out this August. This innovative course is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge and practical tools across three critical domains: Wastewater, Agriculture, and Maritime/Coastal Management.

Course Overview
Enrollments are free and open to everyone. Each domain includes self-assessment quizzes and questions to evaluate participants’ understanding. Upon completing any domain, participants will receive a personalized certificate.

Domain Breakdown
1- Wastewater Domain
Module 1: Basics of wastewater treatment processes (Prof. Anna Laura Eusebi)
Module 2: Sludge treatment and innovations (John Morken)
Module 3: Phosphorus removal and recovery (Prof. Francesco Fatone)
Module 4: Digital tools in sludge management (Prof. Harsha Ratnaweera)
Module 5: Resource recovery from industrial wastewater (Postdoctoral Researcher Lidia Paredes)

2- Agricultural Domain
Module 1: Introduction to AI, IoT, and Remote Sensing
Module 2: Fundamentals of time series algorithms using ML and DL
Module 3: Satellite Imagery Analysis using Google Earth Engine

Module 1: Basics of coastal/maritime mathematical modeling (Prof. Maurizio Brocchini)
