Lab scale case study
Real-time chemical dosing for increased resiliency and efficiency in treatment plants. This case study focuses on using visual sensors and imaging to assess floc properties in wastewater treatment facilities. The goal is to optimize chemical usage and improve performance in order to meet stringent discharge standards and restrictions. Linked authorities include municipalities and the Ministry of Environment Urbanization and Climate Change, with the aim of developing an approach for resilient performance in the long run. Research to be developed includes the assessment of floc structure and settling monitoring using real-time images, and involved partners include NMBU, TUBITAK MRC, and UNIVPM/WWEELab.
