SMART4ENV Research Session at UCD Strengthened International Collaboration
On 2 and 3 July 2025, University College Dublin (UCD) hosted a research collaboration sessions at its Research Building, Belfield Campus, concluding the SMART4ENV study visit to Ireland. Participants included Dr. Samet Feyyaz Hamamci from TUBITAK Marmara Research Center, Türkiye, Gustavo Pérez González from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain, SITES Ltd.’s Leonardo Piccinetti, Margaret Ridge, and Francisco Garcia Sites, and Anna Gabriella Piccinetti from Redinn Ltd., Italy. The session integrated cutting-edge research into SMART4ENV’s framework, emphasizing internationalisation and impact assessment in smart environmental technologies. Aligned with the study visit’s aims, the event enhanced research project management practices and fostered collaboration among Irish, Spanish, and Turkish stakeholders. This activity directly supported SMART4ENV’s mission to enhance TUBITAK Marmara Research Center’s scientific capacity for addressing climate change challenges, with SITES Ltd.’s leadership in networking driving impactful outcomes.
