SMART4ENV Visit at TU Dublin Advanced Research Support Practices
In the afternoon of 1 July 2025, Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) hosted a pivotal SMART4ENV visit, bringing together Dr. Samet Feyyaz Hamamci from TUBITAK Marmara Research Center, Türkiye, Gustavo Pérez González from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain, and SITES Ltd.’s Leonardo Piccinetti, Margaret Ridge, and Francisco Garcia Sites, with Anna Gabriella Piccinetti from RREDINN SRL., Italy. The visit focused on institutional support structures for research and innovation, exploring stakeholder engagement and impact assessment in smart environmental technologies. This activity directly supported the study visit’s objectives by providing insights into internationalisation and peer-learning for research support professionals. The exchange of best practices strengthened collaboration between Irish, Spanish, and Turkish R&I stakeholders, significantly contributing to SMART4ENV’s goal of enhancing TUBITAK Marmara Research Center’s scientific capacity to tackle climate change through innovative solutions. SITES Ltd.’s role in facilitating knowledge exchange was instrumental in the event’s success.
