Strengthening Synergies Across Horizon Europe Projects
SMART4ENV at the WATERLINE Final Conference: Strengthening Synergies Across Horizon Europe Projects
On 4 September 2025, the WATERLINE project celebrated its Final Conference in Brno, Czech Republic, bringing together academia, industry, policymakers, and civil society to showcase three years of achievements in digital water education, XR technologies, and higher education alliances.
SMART4ENV was proudly represented through the participation of Selda Murat Hocaoglu from TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM), highlighting our commitment to building bridges across Horizon Europe initiatives. Her presence underlined the importance of cross-project collaboration, especially as both SMART4ENV and WATERLINE share a strong focus on capacity building, digital innovation, and sustainability.
A unique connection between the two projects is SITES (Sustainable Innovation Technology Services), which plays a pivotal role in communication, dissemination, and stakeholder engagement for both consortia. This shared expertise creates opportunities for synergies and mutual learning across environmental and water innovation ecosystems.
By participating in this high-level event, SMART4ENV demonstrated its dedication to:
- Exchanging knowledge with aligned EU projects.
- Showcasing the role of HEIs and research centers in advancing sustainability.
- Exploring opportunities for future cooperation in the fields of smart environmental solutions and digital water management.
The WATERLINE Final Conference not only celebrated past achievements but also sparked dialogue on Europe’s digital water future — an area where SMART4ENV stands ready to contribute through research, innovation, and collaboration.
